KRAUS Aldo Kitchen Faucet

Sometimes a simple faucet replacement is all your space needs to really kick the design up a notch. We have seen many solutions for great kitchen faucet replacements and one manufacturer that always catches our eye and usually gets our vote for a favorite is Kraus. This time we are taking one of Kraus’s great kitchen faucets and putting it to the test. We have taken the Kraus stainless steel Aldo tall faucet and tested everything from usability to design. The model number is SSVF-2160 and we weren’t disappointed when putting this product through our review process! The stainless steel Aldo tall faucet is truly a work of art. Kraus, as we all know, is famous for taking any faucet to the next level. The designers at Kraus are not only designers, but true artists and we think that no one who has seen their faucets would dare argue that fact. The Aldo faucet is 11.5” high and has a 6.5” reach. The faucet plays off of circular pipe-like shapes. The main base of the faucet simulates a large pipe growing out of the counter. At the height of this base, the top portion is moveable, controlling water flow and temperature. About three-fourths of the way up, a smaller pipe protrudes the larger one sending water our to the sink area. At the end of this piece is a slight 45 degree angle. The overall faucet is a brilliant satin stainless steel finish, creating a sleek, sexy look in your space. There is no doubt that this faucet grabs attention in your kitchen. Kraus often claims that your neighbors and guests will suffer from “faucet envy” and we wouldn’t dare disagree with them. But aside from the artistic design of this model, how are the aesthetics of the faucet itself? It is certainly a pleasure to use! With its single lever water and temperature control, it’s very comfortable using it. The faucet mounts with a single-hole top-mount installation. It has also been water pressure tested for industry standards and comes with all the materials necessary to install it, including the hot and cold water lines. It uses standard plumbing connects, making installation very do-it-yourself-able. And to top it all off, Kraus also has their manufacturers lifetime warranty included with all of their faucets! We give this product and A+ and would certainly recommend it based on durability and longevity, usability and comfort, and as always with any Kraus faucet collection, artistic design and visual appeal.
