Using subtle and understated curves in design has been a trend over the last few years. Fortunate the design community has moved past some of the annoying trends like uncomfortable straight lined furniture and grass-cloth all over the wall to name a few. Fortunately the incorporation of curves and soft lines is a design element that we don’t mind sticking around for a while. Last week Kraus sent us a fabulous design that uses those subtle soft lines, and the sleek oval shape to soften a space. The Kraus White Oval Ceramic Sink is also the ideal vessel to pair with a more contemporary, clean lined, vanity. The combination of clean, straight, lines, pair beautifully with the soothing curved elements of the ceramic vessel sink. When we reviewed this product in our studio, we installed this piece on a black, farmhouse antique vanity. The contrast of the design elements were striking, and showed just how wonderfully opposite elements can compliment one another.

While we don’t usually test for durability when we review product, we do require a specification document with the review. Kraus, not surprisingly, has one of the strongest spec sheets with a durable material choice of ceramic and a full one year manufacturer’s warranty. The ceramic material is perfect for any bath that is regularly used, like the master bath, or a powder bath that is used often by guests.
